On November 23, 2017, the General Assembly of the International Association for Sport for All (TAFISA) was held. During the assembly, President Jang Joo-ho was reappointed, and the Korean Sports and Culture Association (SAKA), recognizing the need for fresh leadership in the Korean sport-for-all sector, elected a new chairman on June 18 and held an official inauguration ceremony on the 27th. Eun Hyung Ju, CEO of Nassau, was inaugurated as the 4th Chairman of SAKA for a four-year term. Former Chairman Yoon Jae-hwan, the 3rd Chairman of SAKA, expressed his confidence that the newly appointed Chairman Eun would lead the association toward greater development. He also reflected on the removal of the term "advanced" from SAKA’s name, asking that the spirit of progress remain at the heart of the organization. He emphasized that the word “advanced” has always been a key value cherished by Jang Joo-ho, President of TAFISA. Chairman Eun Hyung Ju, the newly appointed head of SAKA and CEO of Nassau, shared his vision for the future of both SAKA and TAFISA Korea. He expressed confidence that these organizations would contribute to the growth and innovation of Korea’s sport-for-all initiatives and would become widely accessible to the public. He also pledged to promote community sports through tournaments and events?initiatives often talked about but rarely carried out. Notably, Mr. Bachmann from the TAFISA headquarters attended the inauguration ceremony and offered words of encouragement to the incoming 4th executive board. He remarked on the shared spirit and destiny between Korea and Germany, expressing strong support for the new leadership. Mr. Bachmann added that he is proud that the President of TAFISA is Korean and reaffirmed that TAFISA and SAKA are working together in a close and mutually cooperative relationship. Chairman Eun Hyung Ju and the 4th executive board pledged to further advance community sports in Korea, engaging more athletes and encouraging broader participation from the public in building a more active and united nation.
