Korean sports brand Nassau was awarded the Grand Prize in the Sports Company/Brand category at the 4th Sports Marketing Awards 2018, held on March 19 at the GLAD Hotel in Yeouido, Seoul.

Hosted by the Korea Sports Marketing Promotion Agency and supported by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Korean Sport & Olympic Committee, and Sports Toto, the Sports Marketing Awards were first launched in 2014. The event is held annually to recognize excellence in the sports industry and to promote the value and growth of sports marketing in Korea.

This year’s ceremony featured a total of 62 nominees across individuals, organizations, corporations, brands, and local governments. Winners were selected based on evaluations by a panel of more than 10 experts in the sports industry, along with public voting.

Nassau, founded in 1971, won the top honor in the Sports Company/Brand category. The company has served as an official sponsor of the Korea Football Association (KFA) for over 25 years. Its innovative four-panel soccer ball, the first of its kind globally, has been adopted as the official match ball of the KFA FA Cup. It is also scheduled to be used again next year in youth leagues and other KFA-sanctioned matches.

Ju Eun Hyung, CEO of Nassau, commented, “Through our sports marketing initiatives, we are striving to become a consumer-friendly brand. We will continue doing our best to maximize customer satisfaction by communicating in ways that meet the expectations of today's consumers.”
