June 9, 2022 Reporter: Hyun-soo Kwon, MoneyToday On June 8, Jungwon University signed an industry-academia cooperation agreement with Nassau Co., Ltd., a leading Korean sports brand, to foster professional talent in the field of sports. The signing ceremony was held on campus and attended by President Hwang Yoon-won of Jungwon University, CEO Jeong Ui-seok of Nassau, and more than 10 key representatives from both organizations. Through this agreement, the two institutions pledged to collaborate in the following areas to support the development of Korea’s sports industry and cultivate creative sports professionals: - Sports marketing consulting services - Provision of athletic equipment - Sponsorship of development funds President Hwang Yoon-won stated: “Through this partnership with Nassau, a top-tier Korean sports brand, we will expand and operate practical, field-oriented educational programs. This collaboration will greatly benefit our students by equipping them with the core competencies required in the sports and healthcare industries, and offering them valuable opportunities in specialized fields.” Nassau CEO Jeong Ui-seok added: “By working closely with Jungwon University, we aim to expand business collaboration and create a sustainable synergy model between academia and industry. We are committed to providing students with the support they need to fully demonstrate their capabilities and grow into future leaders in the sports sector.” Founded in 1971, Nassau is a specialized R&D company that develops and exports sports equipment-such as soccer balls and tennis balls-to over 70 countries worldwide. |
