STN Meta Media Co., Ltd., a leading sports media company led by CEO Lee Kang-young, signed a sponsorship and business cooperation agreement (MOU) with Nassau Co., Ltd., a well-known sports equipment brand, and the Seogwipo City Football Association in Jeju. The signing ceremony was held last month at the association’s office in Seogwipo.

Through this agreement, the three parties pledged to collaborate in strengthening Seogwipo’s role as an international football hub, attracting global football tournaments and overseas training camps to the region, and in turn boosting the local economy. They also agreed to work together in sports marketing and consulting efforts.

The Seogwipo City Football Association is currently preparing to host the 2022 U-18 Asia International Football Tournament, which will take place in September and feature teams from six countries including Thailand, Japan, and Australia.

To support year-round training and minimize disruptions during winter, plans are underway to install a sports airdome in Seogwipo. Beginning with the 2022 U-18 tournament, the organizers also intend to introduce football science technology, allowing for the collection and analysis of player performance data, while providing full video coverage and live streaming of all matches via YouTube. This initiative aims to promote Seogwipo internationally as a football destination.

Lee Kang-young, CEO of STN Meta Media, emphasized the company's commitment by stating,

“We will leverage our capabilities in sports broadcasting, media production, and communications to help establish Seogwipo as a true international football hub.”

Oh Young-chul, President of the Seogwipo City Football Association, added,

“Seogwipo already boasts the best football infrastructure in the country. Through football, we aim to raise Seogwipo’s profile on the global stage and create an environment where even more football enthusiasts can enjoy the sport here.”
